Since its founding in 2002, DiGiCo has remained at the forefront of audio technology, constantly innovating to enhance both flexibility and sound quality. The evolution of DiGiCo's products is showcased in the SD9, which began with 40 Flexi channels and 16 Flexi busses and now offers 48 Flexi channels and 24 Flexi busses, among many other improvements. The sample rate has been upgraded from 48kHz to 96kHz, maintaining top-tier audio quality with no loss of processing power—an upgrade provided at no additional cost to existing users.
DiGiCo’s commitment to superior sound quality and durable design, although it limited affordability, has made the introduction of the S21 possible. Using new, cost-effective FPGA components combined with efficient control processors, DiGiCo has brought flagship-level performance to a more accessible price point. The S21 delivers essential DiGiCo technology with powerful audio capabilities and impressive affordability.
The S21 features a high-performance QuadCore RISC processor paired with a low-power 484-ball FPGA, working with fourth-generation SHARC DSP to offer potential for future growth in processing power. Despite its compact footprint, the S21 delivers extraordinary processing power and functionality.
Dual Touch Screens: DiGiCo has been a pioneer in touchscreen integration, introducing touch interfaces as early as 1997. The S21 builds on this with dual 10” multi-touch screens, providing feedback and control for up to 20 channels. The drag-and-drop feature enables easy customization, while the HTL (Hidden Till Lit) encoders and intuitive visual feedback ensure a streamlined workflow.
Expandable Interface: The S21 features dual DiGiCo Multi-Channel Interface (DMI) slots, compatible with industry-standard formats such as Analog, MADI, Dante, Optocore, Waves SoundGrid, and Hydra 2. Available DMI modules include:
